51. Oh I don't know, maybe this:
"Who is more likely to kill an animal for pleasure, a Christian or a Buddhist?

Who is more likely to express their dislike of homosexuals, a Christian or a Jew?

Who is more likely to take offense that people might believe in something different?

Who is always trying to justify their reasons to convert "heathens" in undeveloped countries?

Who is more willing to lie about their reasons for waging war?

Which group is most likely to deny basic civil rights to those who are different?"

And then there was this:
"So.......you're a Christian. I would not think anything of it if that was something you deeply believed in and showed that you were willing to accept others who believed in other things. I would even show admiration for you if you could express your beliefs in a way that allowed others to enjoy their beliefs equally. I would be perfectly happy to accept your religious beliefs if you showed a willingness to understand other religions and the followers of those other religions. But don't go and tell me that yours is the only acceptable religion on our planet, or try to shake my faith in science, or tried to convert anyone who didn't believe in your brand of faith, especially if you hypocritically try to turn all arguments into the fault of others who don't believe in your god."

And my point was, I don't really require your approval, thanks. And there *isn't* any particular reason the OP should care. I see the OP has sketched out exactly what sort of Christian is acceptable to him/her, but truly? It matters not.

Of course, the irony is that I probably fill their desired Christian definition pretty nicely. I still take issue with the idea that I'm supposed to conform to someone else's idea in order not to be offensive.

As I continually point out here, the stereotyping of religious folk is pointless, and while it might satisfy some urge for retribution for those who've been treated poorly in the past, it really doesn't further discussion or understanding in the least. And the person that hurts, bottom line, may be the stereotyper.
