so, the purpose of this thread is to arrive a perfectly reasonable conclusion you've already arrived at.

It shouldn't matter to you if someone else is a christian, unless of course, you wish to castigate anyone who is christian as a worse human being than a muslim, a buddhist, or a jew. Then, you'd have to identify those people you wished to hate more or consider as less valuable. In that case, if they self identify it saves you oodles of time.

so, perhaps you SHOULD give a flip, because they're making your life easier to manage. You can pick who to hate immediately, instead of taking a while to get to know them and see if you're predisposed to hate them or not.

FWIW, I don't agree at all with a lot of religious right people. I'm a liberal christian. But I have also known many religious right people that are good people woefully mislead by their leadership. I can't bring myself to hate them for that. But hey, if you can hate so easily and arbitrarily, go for it.
Make your own life streamlined, get an express lane for those you hate who are holding 12 items or less.
It also really helps if you accuse them of being hateful first, before you meet them. That way you absolve yourself of bigotry, at least in your own mind.
