12.  Yeah, the public school thing kind of bugs me.
I see it playing out like this:

If the people are ignorant, they will more readily vote for Republicans.

Republicans in power realize this, and *purposely* sabotage the public school system.

In so doing, they end up with a nation of dolts.

Sure, they stay in power, but the country collapses in its own ignorance.

But they won't care, because any wealth that does exist has been diverted to the Republican leadership and their cronies.




Make this the new meme; the new Common Sense: "The Greater Good is served when the greatest number of people benefit."
