Oh I know! Wait for the next debt limit debate and get the thing to run out just before the election... then cancel it because the government is shut down.

Pretty ridiculous really. The Gov will be lucky if we don't kick her out in a primary... let alone survive the election. I'm sure she secretly wishes we could just dispense with this inconvenient "will of the people" stuff. But that isn't how it works.
