Gee, do ya think maybe we ought to COUNT EVERY VOTE in this one? Not a chance in my state! Here's a post from the New York forum that shows how it's done, now that the lever machines aren't being used to count 'em:

"A sixth Democratic House seat in New York fell to Republicans on Tuesday when freshman incumbent Dan Maffei conceded he could not overcome his opponent's narrow lead."
