Did not care for some of this article, but this paragraph sure sticks out. What do you guys make of this?

How many Americans remember what ABCNEWS.COM did back on election eve 1998? I can tell you. On November 2, 1998, the night before the general election, ABCNEWS.COM posted the following: "Earlier tonight, during testing of the ABCNEWS.COM site, we inadvertently posted results and erroneous predictions on the outcomes of races. There was no bias intended by what we posted and the predictions do not reflect the reporting or news judgment of ABC News." Notice the key word used in their statement: results. Was this just a glitch and how accurate were these numbers released a full 12 hours before any polls opened in America? A complete analysis of all the results posted and the "final" totals reflect that ABC News was off .0174%. What would you say the odds of that happening are and don't you wish you'd bet a bundle on their numbers? For those that don't know, back in those days an organization called VNS (Voter News Service) issued all the nationwide results with 0% precincts reporting, minutes after polls close. They called all these races within a few percentage points. Amazing. Enough exposure was finally cast upon VNS and that rotten operation was finally shut down. The excuse was the 2000 debacle, but the heat was on them big time before that because Americans caught on to the game and where shouting down the roof.
