64. Secret vote counting
Is a recent arrival in American politics. It is secret in the sense that the actual counting and tabulation of the total votes in any given precinct or jurisdiction is not a publicly observable operation.

Mainly, secret vote counting takes place in and on a private company's machine. The wherewithal of the count, the apparatus, source code and other tabulating methods are a secret from your or mine eyes. Courts have held that you or me may not pry into observing how the private company's machine has counted our votes.
