Wycliffe is just lazy enough to not want to put out the intellectual energy to investigate the actual facts on the other side of the issue before pronouncing it a waste of time, and fearful enough to not want to risk being the subject of the very types of low blow attacks he's meteing out.

but note he's hedging now, not necessarily claiming election fraud facts are wrong, just that they are a waste of time without kerry behind it (if i understand my quick read of teh above correctly).

Wycliffe may be lazy but he ain't dumb, so he should realize that big time politicians are among the last to get on board with movements (usually) and that candidates in particular pay a very high personal price when they contest results, so unlike voters it's very hard for candidates to be public on these things.
