"I know many Washingtonians are hoping this will end soon," Rossi said in a statement. "But I'm also sure that people across this state want a clean election and a legitimate governor-elect. At this point, we have neither."
Rossi and the state Republican Party said they'd gathered 300 affidavits from legal voters whose ballots were wrongfully rejected.

"I believe that we have accurately counted the votes in King County," said Dwight Pelz, a canvassing board member and Democratic county councilman. He added that he was proud of the way King County had handled the trying election and ensuing recount process.
Rossi spokeswoman Mary Lane called Pelz's comments "a joke."
She said Republicans had gathered at least 96 affidavits in King County -- part of about 300 affidavits collected statewide -- from legally registered voters for Rossi whose ballots were rejected because of what Republicans say were mistakes by elections workers.
