Just giving him his release is never going to happen. For the Packers' sake you can only hope that they trade him and get some great value for him. If Farve blows a knee this season or breaks a leg he will wish he had stayed retired since he didn't need the money. He had a chance to go out on a good note after a better than expected season (how very, very few ever get to go out on the absolute top like John Elway?). So few of these guys have the common sense to know when to hang it up.
