12. The protest at Marshall was a joy to behold, I had friends on TV!
Bush pulled back the funding on the Corps of Engineers lock upgrade project at Marmet a couple of months ago and that caused a huge layoff of construction workers! There is almost no other union construction work in the valley now, except for the John Amos power plant job! The contractor at the Marmet job was so pissed at Bush, that he used the company's own busses to haul all the pissed off guys who were just laid off to Huntington to protest!

If you contact the building trades people in Parkersburg they may be able to set you up with a ride to the protest! If there is a bus coming from Charleston I'll be on that sucker, if there is room! I'm going to call my union hall today and find out what's up!
