69. Seattle Streets for All to hold public hearings on spending $7 million in transportation dollars
If you were given nearly $7 million dollars for transportation improvements in Seattle, how would you spend it? Would you fix all the potholes? Improve transit?

It’s no secret that there are more transportation needs than there is funding. Now is your chance to communicate your priorities!

Last year, Streets For All Seattle cleared the way for the creation of the Transportation Benefit District and a $20 vehicle license fee that will fund alternative transportation projects and programs in Seattle.

The Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee III (CTAC) was formed for the purposes of deciding how to spend that revenue and examining the potential for a future ballot measure to fund additional projects.

This month, CTAC III is holding three public workshops, a perfect chance for you to tell the City how to spend our transportation dollars:

Date / time: Monday, May 23 / 5:30 – 7:30pm
Location: Southwest Library, Meeting Room (9010 35th Ave SW)
Councilmember Tom Rasmussen in attendance

Date / time: Tuesday, May 24 / 5:30 – 7:30pm
Location: Fremont Library, Meeting Room (731 N 35th St)
Mayor Mike McGinn in attendance

Date / time: Thursday, May 26 / 5:30 – 7:30pm
Location: Washington Middle School, Cafeteria (2101 S Jackson St)
Mayor Mike McGinn in attendance

If you can’t make any of these meetings, CTAC III still wants to hear from you! Submit your comments or take the online survey here. http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/ctac.htm

Thanks for all of your good work.

Sincerely,

Craig M. Benjamin and David Hiller
