Currently over 650 security officers from four companies are at the bargaining table. Their key issues are access to regular wage increases (the current average is $11/hour), affordable health care (currently as much as $250/month for an individual) and a fair procedure for handling workplace grievances. Only 36% of security officers in this area are unrepresented.

At a number of buildings in Downtown Seattle security officers work for a company, Northwest Security Services, that is holding down industry standards by refusing to allow their officers to be represented at the table. Join Jobs with Justice and SEIU Local 6 and help the security officers at Smith Tower join the majority of security officers in Seattle at the bargaining table!
