89. Peace meetings with congresscritters statewide 5/10, 5/11 and 5/14
Hi everyone, Thank-you all for your efforts for the Department of Peace! http://www.thepeacealliance.org

An update: Altogether, we have nine sit-down meetings scheduled for May 10, 11 and 14, plus at least nine drop-in visits planned, with activity in every congressional district in the state. Our Representatives and Senators are hearing from us throughout the state.

I hope you will all take a moment for gratitude for how much we care, for the importance of this work, and for the potential for peace that resonates from each of our voices – a moment for gratitude for each person who shows up to speak for peace. We have great people here in WA State, and all across the country, an amazing team of people all stepping up and organizing for peace.

Meetings tomorrow: 10 am at Brian Baird’s office in Olympia, and then 2 pm at Jim McDermott’s office in Seattle. On Friday: 10 am at Jay Inslee’s office in Shoreline and at Norm Dick’s office in Tacoma, 11 am at Rick Larsen’s office in Bellingham, 11:30 am at Dave Reichert’s office in Bellevue, and 3 pm at Patty Murray’s office in Seattle; drop-in visits are planned for Representative and Senate offices in Vancouver, Bremerton, Bellevue, Yakima, Spokane and Richland (Richland drop-in visits might be delayed); plus a “co-sponsor, thank-you” pie will be delivered to Jim McDermott’s WA DC office. On Monday: 10 am at Norm Dick’s office in Port Angeles and at Adam Smith’s office in Tacoma. There already was one meeting a week ago at Rick Larsen’s office in Everett, and maybe will be one more at Maria Cantwell’s Everett office on May 15; and maybe another at a later date at Jay Inslee’s office in Poulsbo.

Please encourage friends to make supporting calls for the Department of Peace, HR 808.

If there is anything I can do to help, as always - there is still time to join one of these meetings - please call or send an email – 360-376-6864, [email protected].

Thank-you, thank-you all!
Rena Patty
