I live in Beechview.

About the city employee residency requirement, I'm not sure where I fall on that side of the issue. Personally, I couldn't care less about where someone lives, but I would say that there would be quite a few people who would move out of the city. I'd never leave, mostly because I enjoy my proximity to the T and the downtown area, but I'm sure there are some that would.
What I meant more about Ravenstahl was the arrogant manner in which he carries himself. I've lived in the city since May of 2005, after I got out of the Air Force. Since Bob O'Connor's passing, and Ravenstahl taking office. I haven't seen him in either my old borough (Westwood), or my current borough, Beechview. He doesn't seem to want to get out to reach the people the way mayor O'Connor did. All he seems to care about is kowtowing to those on Squirrel Hill or in Forest Hills. For all I know, he might not know where Beechview is.
I just find what DeSantis has to sell is better than what Ravenstahl is selling, and has done in the past.
