10. The Asians in St. Paul are mostly Hmong and Vietnamese
and I haven't eaten at that many Chinese restaurants since moving back here in 2003. (Of course, many of the Vietnamese are in fact ethnic Chinese.) The main Asian neighborhood in St. Paul is along University Avenue just west of downtown.

There's no Chinatown as such, as there is in Portland, but I've seen at least one Chinese restaurant with bilingual menus near the University, where there are a lot of Chinese students.

You can get the former International Channel (now AZN-TV) on cable, which has about 1/3 of its programming in Mandarin and a bit in Cantonese.

You might want to pm dpbrown about this, because his wife is from Shenzhen, so he (or she) could provide some insight on being Chinese in the Twin Cities.
