is majority Democratic, it is definately not "liberal" democratic. Remember: Ernie Fletcher was the rep prior to Chandler. A liberal democrat probably would not be able to win this seat any time soon. For all his faults, at least Chandler is strong on the environment. He's pretty good with labor too. I doubt we will see those traits in any republican who might get this seat.
