This is nothing more than an attempt to avoid addressing the things Clark is quoted as saying in the flier, and instead to try and put all the focus on how they reacted to the act of fliers being passed out.

So what? What does it matter if they did nothing or stood their whining or if they took them and wiped their asses with them... he still hasn't addressed what Clark said.

The author mentioned them telling people to ask... but what did Clark say? That part is oddly left out completely.

Wonder why.
