25. Kerry has let others define his personality

My guess is that the things your wife does not like about Kerry are based on what the media or Bush's team has had to say, not based on any careful study. Kerry comes off pretty well when you see him having an actual conversation - like on Letterman the other day. The debates will help since the public will get to see him unfiltered.

If I were Kerry, I'd try and go on Oprah, the View, Leno, Conan - you name it. People don't think he has a sense of humor and that he's really longwinded. But that's not the impression he leaves when he is in a relaxed interview.
