It means many Virginians are morans. Like that JP in Louisiana who refused to marry interracial couples.

Virginia is traditionally conservative and will probably stay that way until the state is so poor they find it more acceptable not to be conservative. Poverty is a great motivator for ideological change.

I would have been surprised if the Democrats had taken the Governor's office there. Obama has nothing to do with it. His coattails are simply not that long yet.
