The Peace Prize is bullshit. It obscures what actually has occurred under this president's term, and all the back-slapping around here is killing me.

The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) recorded 1,500 Afghan CIVILIAN DEATHS between January 1 and August 31, 2009, representing an increase of 31% over the same period in 2008, when 1,145 civilians were killed.

There have been 1,951 CIVILIAN DEATHS in Iraq in 2009 as a result of the war.

Simply being way, way, way better than Bush isn't enough, even if the rest of the world is finally starting to exhale. I know it wasn't Obama's mess--and cleaning up ain't easy and all that--but this president supports policies that kill innocent people.

Peace.
(Real peace.)
