32. The whole premise of your OP conflates Iraq with Afghanistan, as does what I'm replying to now.

There are people, myself included, who saw some justification for going into Afghanistan and absolutely no justification for going into Iraq.

Allow me to amend my original statement...

Afghanistan was a forgotten war under the Busch regime, he purposefully hardly ever spoke about it and most people thought it was actually pretty much over. Infact, mainstream TV news and newspapers in America never reported any stories on Afghanistan apart from the occasional kidnapping and they still don't apart from the occasional 'friendly fire' incident. This has led the American public to be totally uninformed as to what's actually been going on there for the past few years regarding the reconstruction efforts. For example, where have you seen stories like http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Turborama/55">this or http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Turborama/56">these reported in American MSM?
