I just finished plowing my way through 9 books on 17th-18th century Anglo/American Puritanism as part of the prep for my field exams... (breaks down into unconsolable weeping, and accompanying gnashing of teeth, rending of garments).
Several books on the socio-economic structure of the British-Atlantic Empire came as a decided relief, if that is any indicator...
