Instead of burning American coal here, it will be shipped to countries with lower environmental standards and burned over there. All this bill accomplished was to raise the cost of electricity in America which will hurt manufacturing. Most so called Democrats here don't understand this. They work in service jobs and have no clue about manufacturing. Our party just screwed all American blue collar workers. It would have been smarter to subsidize cleaner sources of energy such as nuclear, wind, solar, etc. so that they can compete economically with coal and other fossil fuels. Apparently that is too smart for that disgusting bunch who represent us in Congress.
