Anyone who has used marijuana who does not support full legalization needs to march down to the police station and turn himself in, do the time (whatever the time was when the crime was committed) and accept life as a convicted criminal.

This is so fucking stupid I genuinely cannot believe people do not get it...

I don't know if simple possession of marijuana was a felony in 1970s Hawaii but it sure as hell was in some states. I have met people who did more than 12 months for a few seeds.

And simple possession of cocaine was almost certainly a felony in most states in the 1970s.

(I think it is obvious that Barack Obama should be able to vote and I do not think he was ever a menace to society and I oppose drug laws... I am consistent on that.)
