55. Nothing against MLK III. My problem is with your statement:
"This is a tacky tacky guilt tripping reason for deciding who should be a United States Senator - was a member of your family assassinated?"

Neither Caroline Kennedy nor MLK III chose to have their father's assassinated. Yes, it shaped their lives but why wouldn't it? Can't they be individuals and have their own good qualities?

It is unfortunate that our political system allows the expenditure of millions of dollars to get people elected. That's the REAL problem, IMO. But look at it this way: if Barack Obama hadn't outraised John McCain in the campaign, he probably wouldn't be our President-Elect. I hate the system, too, but let's not aim our animosity against Caroline. We should think about what is the best use of our time and energy here...
