FWIW (I'm not a New Yorker), her professional career seems to pass muster, and AFAIK, she doesn't have a record of public embarrasments or questionable associations, so she wouldn't poison the seat for the Dems if she ran in '12 or stepped down.

Then again, I think a major Obama supporter getting handed a position like this looks a little unsavory (YMMV on that one), and TreasonousBastard's post about the seat just being used as a resum-polisher gives me pause.
