Traveling from Pittsburgh to Bristol (CT) on Friday, let me say from the outset that *my* (five) anti-Bush stickers were the ONLY ones to see in 8.5 hours of travel. I saw numerous 'Bush-Cheney '04' stickers and 'The cost of freedom is not free' printed on yellow ribbons (stickers). Oh, I also saw a couple of Confederate flag and Marines stickers. I realize that Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are heavily Democratic areas, but for the rest of Pennsylvania, I was in apparent Reichwing hell.
For those who are curious, this was my driving route: Rte. 279N, 79N, 80E, 81N, 84E. Wilkes-Barre is particularly conservative, according to my sticker 'tally.'
I stopped to get coffee in Milford, (Eastern) PA. There was a tobacco/souvenir shop with 'George Bush is MY president' sign, Confederate Flags, and Reichwing stickers in the window. Needless to say, I skipped the coffee.
On a positive note, most cars parked on the block where I stayed in Pittsburgh had pro-Kerry, anti-Bush stickers.
