Reading him (and Thurber) began a long love affair with the English language ... which, like most of my love affairs, has been unrequited.

She must host some worm hole terminus into an alternate, Dali-esque reality ... a portal to some non-Euclidean, reason-free universe. There seem to be creatures there using her to make contact. Eerie.
