18. Pawlenty would have gotten McCain
a lot closer to winning, if not victory. Before the banking meltdown, Obama wasn't looking too swift, and McCain had the momentum. Pawlenty had the age and a lot more experience to help him out. There would have been less media distractions too. However, he may have generated less buzz. I think the McCain campaign hoped for buzz out of Palin. I think if Pawlenty himself had won, the GOP may have had a good chance against Obama.
