| 15. Were they ready for what was to come? |

Since 2000, I have been asking, "Are we ready?" "Do we have a plan to use against them?"
I have recently come to the conclusion that no, we/they do not. They are NOT running against Rove. They never, or have poorly, anticipated him to be the adversary that he always has been. Sadly, in the interest of appearing to be "gentlemen" they are not calling Bush by the names that he deserves to be called by. Indeed, even honest discussion of Bush's record is decried as "hate speech", and we/they fall for it time and time and time again.
Clearly, it was foreseeable that this was going to be an electino to be won by the dirtiest fighter....
It's tactics that are going to win this election for Bush -- not his ideas, not his crazy plans. If people really knew what they were getting into, they would be repulsed by him; that is why they have to lie about EVERYTHING. While there may be a small minority who support a fascist America, the majority of Americans do not. Bush may well win, but he will NOT have popular support. Sooner or later, all the shit he has pulled is going to catch up with him -- mark my words. The best case scenario will be impeachment during his "second" term, as is the historic precedent for divisive presidents -- and it may be the sane Republicans who ultimately bring him down, as the Dems don't seem to have the guts. There is of course a worse case scenario -- that the shit he has pulled is going to catch up with you and me and our country first, in the form of troubling widespread economic hardship, a corrupt judicial system, and world war.
I sure hope the Dems realize that we are running against the fucking Nazis....
But maybe I am being pessimistic. But Kerry is playing it WAY too safe. It's time to inflame and inspire his side by REALLY putting up a FIGHT against the worst president in American history -- not try to appeal to "undecideds".
