74. Honestly, Drudge's exercise is mainly a show of panic by the GOP.

It also demonstrates the fear of people of color finally accessing a power position that used to be only granted to some white people.

Drudge is very demonstrative of a white male who feels his entitlement and privilege being challenged by a man of color who has more "merits" and "intelligence" than he does. Because he's throwing a tandrum, digging up old clips is all Drudge and the rest of the those RW toadies have. They don't have anything else.

What Mr. Obama said wasn't provocative. What he only advocated was that communities should be more involved in terms of the progress of civil rights. He felt that the courts were not that effective in that matter. Instead, community organizing and programs would be helpful in making sure that people's rights were being enforced at the local level.

I understand that it might be a different way of thinking from those who are rich and enveloped in gated communities. After all, when "the people" begin to get together and to demand their freedoms, then the power shifts from the very few to the many. To the wealthy, that would mean that their power would be threatened. After all, people of color (as well as other groups of the disenfranchised) are beginning to use their education, work skill and productiveness in order to fight for their rights. After all, the uber wealthy and powerful expect us to be lazy and shiftless, no?

Well, it might seem scary for those who want us to be the very stereotypes that they expect us to be.

But when we're not, then they know that serious change in coming and that some people are going to be knocked off their high horse.
