Having had close and unpleasant experience with narcissists, I spotted this in her very quickly. Once bitten, twice shy, or something.

8 years of Bush's narcissism is bad enough. Palin's been given free reign to seek as much narcissistic supply from the right wing fringe as she can get - I wonder how she's going to react when she returns to Alaska and gets a negative reception?

Truly, the person in that family I have the most sympathy for is Trig. I don't think he's going to have a happy childhood once his days as a sympathy-from-the-crowd prop are over.
