By all accounts, mccain war cornered on his vp pick and forced to take a social conservative rather than lieberman.

Mccain is an asshole, holds grudges and has a temper problem.

Sometimes i wonder if he doesn't put Palin out there knowing she is tearing down the credibility and legitimacy of the far-right religious warriors. It may be that he isn't as much intending that as he may simple be enjoying that secondary outcome.

I keep going back to the fact taht he apparently "made up his mind" during a 30 minute phone convo with 2 of his top strategists, after having spent barely any time with palin. She wasn't a big contender until the last minute.

There are many aspects of the campaign that seem sloppy if not down-right self-destructive.

And i think that's because Mccain knows how unethical, how disgraceful and how insincere his campaign truly is.

He has spent a long time slamming campaigns and politics precisely like those he is now pushing out there. He's an egomaniac who primarily runs based on his self-righteous sense of honor. We've seen some indignation on his part during the election, but for the guy who has been the top guest on The Daily Show... this is more than usual flip flopping.

The new Mccain is literally a complete rejection of the old Mccain.

This campaign is 100% everything he has previously called disgraceful and even unamerican.
