13. Tin foil hat warning...
Edited on Fri Oct-17-08 07:41 PM by JBear
I have noticed here in NC that the Obama campaign has been pushing early voting. One reason this is a good thing is that if you were wrongly caught in NC's voter roll purge, you can register and vote at the early voting site - one stop. The McCain campaign here has been pushing paper absentee or voting on election day. No mention whatsoever about early voting.

I personally find this odd. I also in my conspiracy minded self think that this is part of the way they plan to defraud the voters of NC. There is a huge body of evidence that the 2004 results in NC were not representative of the actual votes cast. Why would grouping repubs in election day and absentee only be helpful? They can CLEARLY see how many people are voting. They can figure out how many votes they have to flop on election day. It also makes the exit polling much more difficult.

Watch the down ballot races. I predict that you will see an amazing sweep of local races and a super tight presidential race here in NC.

FWIW, I have still not decided if I am voting early or not. I HAVE filled out my sample ballot and know how I will vote though ;)
