Or the other way around... Normally, I don't trust -any- side to have 100% of the power. I personally feel that a check and balance would be theoretically good.

However...

The Republicans have soooooo screwed the pooch (and have become so obscene and twisted in their ideology) that they need to go to the time out corner for 10-16 years. Then they'll be allowed to sit at the adult table and participate. Maybe.
