Sorry to disagree with NOW, but the GOPers are not that stupid. They picked Palin to throw off Democrats who were all locked and loaded to oppose Mitt Romney, and to consolidate some of their traditional conservative constituencies.

I think they have succeeded at both goals, but it won't be enough for them to win.
