What's more disgusting -- an implication that :gasp: a teenager might have had sex and gotten pregnant or being said teenager and having your own mother be so ashamed of you that she would herself fake a pregnancy and claim your baby as her own? Teenagers have sex and get pregnant. That's not the issue here, the issue is, did Palin FAKE a pregnancy and lie to the world in an attempt to cover up what might have been slightly politically embarrassing for her? It's not a brave motherly thing to fake a pregnancy. A brave mom would say "my daughter is pregnant and this is a personal matter" and that brave mom wouldn't give a shit whether it caused political fallout. Faking a pregnancy borders on psycho if you ask me. I don't know whether this story is true or not but this is huge and because there is a lot of circumstantial evidence that seems fishy I think this needs to be looked at and discredited if it is false (and an apology to Palin for suggesting she's a lying psychopath) or brought to the light of day. This isn't a PTA position we're talking about, this is a position that could put Palin one heartbeat away from leadership of the entire country.

The daughter is innocent regardless of whether this baby story is true or not. It's not her reputation that's at risk here, it's Palin's.

This part of the story needs to be investigated because if it is true it is a lie of such magnitude that it makes Palin unfit to be trusted with leadership.
