98. A little off the subject

How much do you think genetic engineering might have to do with Big Agriculture using Roundup to kill all the weeds? That means Farm Laborers don't have to manually go up and down each row with a hoe weeding and thinning crops. I know this isn't lettuce picking that probably must be done by hand. You know they are modifying the crops so they are resistant to Roundup so they can just spray the weeds right over the top of the crops. Some people are saying that is why there is such an increase in intestinal dysfunction. The weed killer is in our guts killing our flora. Maybe the European Union is right about not letting GM food on the Continent. I used to think they just engineered for bigger heartier plants. No, they go back after spraying as see what weeds survived and then splice those resistant genes into the crop. All so they can sell Roundup. I figure if they are that desperate to force all farmers to use their seeds and their products they would also be behind a lobby to make sure no human beings are needed to hoe beets. Just a thought.
