90. Yes, even foreign media takes the bait
You can tell the media here couldn't care less how the US police is treating it's citizens, only when the Dem convention are about to happen, they suddenly find the time to report about how unsafe the streets are and how the police 'over react'.
Suddenly they find media space to report from the demonstrations, which happen all the year in the US really (and today peace demonstrations are everyday, every hour), and as good media should, they report the demonstrations from the demonstrators view, not the police view. Now, I mean. Not every day of the year. Because all the other days of the year, the 'war' on terror takes presendence and demonstrations are seen--at best--as disruptions of the society routine. Threats.
Later this year they'll cover the Repub convention, and then they will switch to the exact opposite of today's reporting; Police good, demonstrators bad.
