What was up with that smirk Tad Devine had today on CNN

Anyone else see this. At the end of his interview he told Judy Bush started this and Kerry will finish it and then smirked. Do you think they have a earth shaker to be released during the convention. You know something that will distract the media away from the convention. Oh say maybe a high level connection to the WH and the not so swifties.
