14. This post over at FreeRepublic indicates that they are troubled by Lieberman

As Al Gores running mate in 2000, Lieberman became the first Jewish vice presidential nominee. His campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004 failed.

Just bizarre, the unsuccessful Democrat VP nominee from 2000, and unsuccessful Democrat presidential candidate of 2004, is now being considered as the Republican VP nominee for 2008.

Only in McCain world. Lieberman is one of the most liberal senators of all, save his position on the WoT. And, despite a fair amount of negative treatment from his Dem. party, he still has not seen fit to leave it and become a Republican. That gesture might have made his consideration a little less nonsensical, but hes not even taken that step.

This is stupid, and McCain is thinking of absolutely no one but McCain by even floating Liebermans name. Much more of his maverick BS and hell begin to inflict some longer term damage on the party. - Only the 60s radical dream candidate, the American hating Obama gives McCain a decent chance of winning, in spite of all his stupid moves.
