80. I'll agree that the media is still foisting the old Maverick McCain myth, but really
the man's Mr. Burns on a good day, and more often than not he's Grandpa Simpson talking crazy in the cheese case. I mean, he doesn't even know how to use a computer. My 85 year old aunt can use a computer and she's not only "aware of the internet" but uses it daily. But we're to believe John McCain's Just Like Us™?

You're right, that McCain myth is tough to overcome, but it's not impossible and I just don't think the old pandering model, whether it's eatin a big mac or whatever example you want to choose, is worth it anymore. It's a waste of time and resources and it makes us look like clowns, and if the Obama camp does resort to that I'll be really disappointed. Just let him be himself. It'll be ok. Remember when Hillary was inevitable?
