56. American Holocaust memorials are still being built all over the nation, as we speak.
No memorial can ever correct it, but the purpose is not to undo horrors which can never be undone.

That is not the purpose the memorials serve...

Last time I was at the National Holocaust Museum, they had a heart rendering exhibit about "internment camps" during WWII for the Japanese... this long history of suffering, these devastating memorials, belong to no one culture, no single group, and no individual tribe.

These are memorials to our shared humanity, and the horrors of what we do to each other when we forget that we really are one blood, one people, one nation, one world.
