but I bet everyone five hunnert bucks that Merkel spoke in German, and there simply is no such double entendre in my native tongue. She probably said, "Er ist gut gerüstet (he's very fit), physically, mentally and politically."

...Which could also be interpreted as a subtle swipe at the mentally and politically unfit W. Bush or the totally out of shape in every respect McCain.

Given our corpmedia, I wouldn't even presume Merkel said anything resembling the exact phrase quoted in the article.

But carry on. Obama is the sexiest politician alive, ja?
