Rasmussen is finally beginning to get it right this year with their national polls, since they are using 538.com's weighting and a more accurate party identification slant (I believe it's currently Democrats +9.37%). But they change their party ID slant monthly (fixed) instead of using a variable slant.

Gallup slants their national polls with an even party identification slant, always 50/50 fixed. So Gallup gives us a minimum trend line while Rasmussen Leaners gives us a maximum trend line.

At this point they both use likely voters. They'll use registered voters after the deadlines close for registering to vote.

WTG seasat for coming the closest! :D
