This is how the map looks to the people putting their money where their mouth is at Intrade.com.

States trading in the 40-60 range put as undecided.

but I have read several other threads that said he can't win the GE  grantcart   May-24-08 11:14 PM   #2
Oh yeah, they probably even confirmed it.  tekisui   May-24-08 11:15 PM   #5
survey USA just showed a poll with IN tied  grantcart   May-24-08 11:19 PM   #6
I know all those states are in play and I wouldnt be surprised if he took some, especially NEvada  hnmnf   May-24-08 11:21 PM   #7
      In '06 the Dems got a 60/40 split, in 64 Goldwater got 61/39  FogerRox   May-24-08 11:49 PM   #11

'64 map, colors are flipped  FogerRox   May-24-08 11:59 PM   #12
Presidential Elections dont work the sameway as Congressional Ones  hnmnf   May-25-08 12:29 AM   #16
Right, so what is the difference ?  FogerRox   May-25-08 11:40 AM   #27
Take 1958 compared to 1960. Democrats won huge in the Congressional elections in 1958  Zynx   May-25-08 12:07 PM   #34
Ok, but what was the political pendulem doing at that time?  FogerRox   May-25-08 02:57 PM   #42
Awww, look at WV sticking out like a sore thumb.  Blondiegrrl   May-24-08 11:31 PM   #9

Obama will not be able to Holla? God your pathetic  hnmnf   May-25-08 12:28 AM   #15
If you haven't noticed, the Republicans have lost 3 special elections in the last  neverforget   May-25-08 01:36 AM   #22
Ohio will go for McCain. Trust me, I live there.  Dark   May-25-08 12:29 AM   #17
Well, I'm not just going to trust you because you live there.  hnmnf   May-25-08 12:32 AM   #18
My 81 year old grandma has lived there all her life...  mcctatas   May-25-08 12:54 AM   #21
Ohio didnt vote for Goldwater in 1964, neither did Florida.  FogerRox   May-25-08 11:43 AM   #28
Not if I have anything to do with it  muryan   May-25-08 04:49 PM   #49
I'd like to put IN and MO in our column too  4_Legs_Good   May-25-08 01:42 AM   #23
AK will stay red, unless maybe Clinton is on the ticket  hnmnf   May-25-08 01:44 AM   #24
What if we put Gravel on the ticket???!?!?!?!?!  4_Legs_Good   May-25-08 01:49 AM   #25
I so didnt process the AK. I was thinking Arkansas.  hnmnf   May-25-08 01:51 AM   #26
Went for LBJ over Goldwater in '64  FogerRox   May-25-08 11:44 AM   #29
Alaska used to be a swing state. That changed over time.  Zynx   May-25-08 12:06 PM   #33
This is what victory will look like:  beat tk   May-25-08 11:48 AM   #30
We would win Tennessee before we'd win Wyoming, Idaho, or Utah.  Zynx   May-25-08 12:05 PM   #32
And we'd win Montana, Alaska, North Dakota before we win TN  hnmnf   May-25-08 01:40 PM   #37
I agree. This is a sober, realistic map. This isn't like the garbage some have with him carrying GA.  Zynx   May-25-08 12:04 PM   #31
This is within the realm of possibility.  NJSecularist   May-25-08 12:09 PM   #35
Dont put Montana in the same category as MS and GA  hnmnf   May-25-08 12:12 PM   #36
      Yep  Phx_Dem   May-25-08 02:13 PM   #38
You could take OH out of the mix and he still wins.  Gore1FL   May-25-08 02:17 PM   #39
I'm fairly confident that SC will go red  hnmnf   May-25-08 02:25 PM   #40
      A lot depends on GOTV  Gore1FL   May-25-08 02:28 PM   #41
SC is a phenomenally red state. Bush won it by 17 or 18. It's not a swing state by any definition.  Zynx   May-25-08 04:22 PM   #47
But is is very heavily African American  Gore1FL   May-25-08 04:42 PM   #48
African Americans vote pretty close to their share of the population in SC and MS.  Zynx   May-26-08 08:19 AM   #55
   Intrade map  dbmk   May-25-08 02:58 PM   #43
Same as mine, except i gave NH and VA to Obama  hnmnf   May-25-08 02:59 PM   #44
I would add NC, LA, NV, and MT to those states...  kentuck   May-25-08 03:01 PM   #45
I very much doubt Louisiana until I see some hard evidence on that.  Zynx   May-25-08 04:19 PM   #46
I'm holding off on those states until I see a poll showing him ahead.  hnmnf   May-25-08 05:10 PM   #51
I honestly think he has a way better shot in MO  muryan   May-25-08 04:52 PM   #50
He will take Georgia. -nt  kevin881   May-25-08 05:44 PM   #52
Not unless he is winning by 12 nationwide he won't.  Zynx   May-26-08 08:20 AM   #56
Pretty close to my current map:  FlyingSquirrel   May-25-08 11:08 PM   #54
