130. The eagle is sacred
and in the Lakota tradition, black is the color of the West, from where the rains (and life) come. So "Blackeagle" is a powerful name, I would think, though I realize the Crow tradition is different from the Lakota. What is the actual name he was given, and what were the gifts? There would be significance in both.
