Hope Uncle Ted will be OK, at least he's at Mass General. They'll call in the best Neurologists in Boston no doubt.

I disagree.... he's probably one of the most influentual members of the party, if not the most.

His absence from the scene would be terrible for the party.

Anyways hope he is alright.

You are so right. Whether we agree or not with his current political stand, he is a human being first. I wish him the best.

if he is not at the convention, it will rattle the party and a critical voice will not be there.

i hope senator kennedy is okay and recovers.

My sister got to shake Ted's hand when he was campaigning for Bobby years ago. I know he has worked hard for us in the past and though I do not agree with his latest decisions about this campaign I hope he recovers. This sounds very serious. He is in my prayers.

my father died of a stroke at 77; kennedy is 76.

this is critical for the democratic party if he is left unable to function.

Who would take his place or perform duties if he should not be able to perform his duties for a while, or if he should need to retire?

Prayers go out to him.

He's a person...and he has made a contribution to the country. Don't particularly care for what he's done recently, but I wish him no ill will.

Hope he'll be ok.

Ditto. Plus, he reminds of my late Dad's one remaining sibling, my uncle Joe, in that he's always there for his family in time of suffering, grief, and need.

Get better, Uncle Ted.

I hope he pulls through this, and without complications. Agree or disagree with him I don't wish him any harm.

I may not like the fact he has pushed BO but I still wish him no harm. I may not have liked many of the things he has said or done yet again he is a fellow human being and I would not want any harm to come to him. I wish him well and will keep him in my prayers.

new leaders will be coming in

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Senator Kennedy, who has many flaws, still has stood up for the average person. He is the last of an era. I do not agree that he continue to be the "father" of the party - as many of his views are out of step with moderate Americans. He has not been a friend to women on either a personal or political front. Still in all, he deserves his due because many times his was a lone voice crying out in times of red state domination. He is too liberal for me.

We are seeing the changing of the guard on many fronts.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Senator Kennedy and his family at this time. I only just heard that he has been hospitalized, and I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Senator Kennedy has contributed mightily to the people of the United States, and is more than just a Massachusetts senator. He is one of the leaders of our entire nation. I am sure there are millions on both sides of the political aisle saying prayers for him right now.

Best wishes to him and his family as this is

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a very hard thing to face. Politics aside, this is a very sick human being who may suffer stroke or death. Politics front and center, Sen. Kennedy has helped Democrats in many ways over the years. While I disagree with his support of BO, I appreciate his long service to our country.

Let's show the same class Hillary does and wish him well without rancor.

Although I don't agree with his endorsement of Obama, his rude remarks towards Hillary recently and some of his liberal views, I do recognize all his years of public service, and wish him well.
