It's demeaning.
BUT, why didn't the reporter confront it right there instead of making a a snarky report about it?? That's what I would do. One way is healthy assertive behavior, the other is passive aggressive snarkiness..
Obama does need to keep an eye out on this kind of thing. He's done it before and it causes some insulted feelings. I honestly don't think he means any harm with it, but it is a sexist type of language he needs to get rid of.
